Seaton and Axmouth straddle the mouth of the river Axe. The views from Axecliff Golf Club are truly breathtaking! Here is an excellent starting point for a walk through the Undercliff to Lyme Regis.
The coastal path to Beer is a little easier (about 2 miles) but just as spectacular.

Fishing is very popular around here, with course and game fishing available on private lakes and boats for hire at most of the local ports for sea fishing.

John & Linda Hughes offer mackerel fishing trips for up to 9 people at a time in Branscombe; call 01297 680369 for details.
There are 1 hour mackerel fishing trips every day from April - October, call Nick on 07974 796002.
There are golf courses at Seaton, Honiton and Lyme Regis; and Hawkchurch has a riding centre, which is very popular with both children and their parents as a different way of getting around the countryside!
There are some interesting places to visit in the area too, for example, a local Medieval manor house at Shute, and some of the best-kept gardens in Devon, all within a short drive.
There are some great local walks around the countryside and along the coast. Bluebell Woods is another lovely setting for a relaxing stroll through our rural part of Devon. Our reception has information on all the above activities, and there are lots of helpful links below….

The Jurassic Coast X53 bus service stops at Beer, Seaton and Lyme Regis, making transportation back to your starting point very easy.
